Abstract Reality
Urban photography portfolio
In my practice, the subject that interests me the most is daily urban architecture shapes, structures, textures, and colors. Usually using lenses over 80 millimeters, I intend to portray architectural corners and details as graphic compositions. As a result, my work embodies abstract and geometric photographs of the urban landscape. Artists and photographers who inspire me include Alexander Rodchenko, László Moholy-Nagy, Luigi Ghirri, and Saul Leiter.
By representing everyday landscapes in a non-obvious way, I encourage keener and more present observation of the city. The overall goal is to promote contemplation, calm, and stillness. It is not an attempt to fully apprehend the urban reality but to grasp fragments of the city structures and reflect on the urban experience.
